Sciatica

Sciatica is a condition where a person suffers from pain in the sciatic nerve, the largest nerve in the body.

Symptoms:

  • Pain or burning sensation in the back
  • Radiating pain
  • Numbness in the affected area
  • Constant pain in only one side of the buttock or leg
  • Pain that feels better when patients lie down or are walking
  • Pain typically described as sharp or searing
  • A pins-and-needles sensation
  • Numbness or weakness
  • Prickling sensation down the leg in some cases
  • Weakness or numbness when moving the leg or foot
  • Severe or shooting pain in one leg
  • Pain in the toes
  • Lower back pain
